April Tucker has worked in Los Angeles for over a decade in a variety of post-production audio roles: Re-recording mixer, sound editor, music editor, music/scoring mixer, ADR engineer, and Foley engineer. She has worked on television series for all the US major networks and over a dozen cable networks, with some shows seen by over 10 million viewers. April is currently a mixer for Yahoo and 20th Century Fox, and her film work has been seen at major festivals such as Sundance, Cannes, SXSW and Tribeca. April holds two degrees in sound; Master’s Degree in Sound Recording, McGill University; Bachelor’s Degree in Music Production and Technology, University of Hartford.
April enjoys doing educational outreach, such as writing for industry blogs (including a monthly blog for Soundgirls.org; SoundGirls Profile of April), writing articles for the Cinema Audio Society’s Quarterly Magazine, and also giving lectures and presentations.
